Moonkin S12 PvP Gems, Enchants and Reforging | Balance Druid

Well, it’s about time I wrote out this guide for gearing up your Boomkins right? I’d like to think the wait will be worth it once you go through this guide. We have a lot of information to cover in this post so I have broken it up into sections with clear headings. This way you when you revisit this guide you can easily navigate to section of information you are looking for. I will be updating this post as I acquire new sets of season 12 gear. I won’t be deleting an old section but instead adding a new section for the new set of gear to show how I gemmed and reforged.

Balance Druid Stat Priority: 

I will be keeping this post updated with changes I make to; reforging, enchants and gems. However, feel free to check my characters armory in-case there is some delay in me updating this post. ( I am in the process of changing my gear as I was going Haste > Mastery > Crit)

Going Crit will give us more Starsurge procs, crits on rejuvenation and overall more burst which is what this season is all about.  I’ll go into actual strageies in a later post. So for now, let’s get that boomkin of yours ready to own the scrub nugglets.

GEMS:

Here are the available gems I recommend you using for your gear.  Once epic gems are introduced into the game I will make a new table for them. Click a button below to see exactly what Gems I am using for that respective set.

These are the enchants I recommend to use on your Balance Druid for some epic PvP action. However, if you have a crafting professions be sure to use those enchants on your gear.

DREADFUL GEAR REFORGE:

Keep in mind when reforging that you want to make sure you get 6% Spell Hit so that you don’t miss.  Also, It is better to reforge to get Spirit versus Hit because of Mana regeneration. The table below shows what I reforged for arenas.

DREADFUL GEAR GEMMING:

Keep in mind when reforging that you want to make sure you get 6% Spell Hit so that you don’t miss.  Also, It is better to reforge to get Spirit versus Hit because of Mana regeneration. The table below shows what I reforged for arenas. If I was only doing Rated battlegrounds or was to make a second set for them I would actually reforge for Crit because we have so many targets to Moonfire/Sunfire spam to get us some epic Startsurge procs.

Right now I am using the +320 PvP gem in blue sockets because it seems to be the way to go. However, I’m still looking into this stat versus intellect and I will keep you updated on my findings.
